■感想 / My impression

・ウズベキスタンの各街は小さいので、2,3日の滞在で十分。
・闇レートをウズベキスタンに行く前に知っておいたほうが良い。
・思っていたより英語が通じた。

・I thought each cities in Uzbekistan is small so you stay there 2 or 3 nights is enough.
・You sholud know the black exchange rate in advance, when you go to Uzbekistan.
・They can communicate in English better than I thought.

2012年10月にウズベキスタンにいたときの情報です。

This information is when I was in Uzbekistan on October, 2012.

Uzbek Money (ウズベキスタンの通貨について)

ウズベキスタンには公式レートと闇レートがあります。

公式レートだと 1USD(US Dollar)≒1900UZS(Uzbekistani Som)

闇レートだと 1USD≒2700UZS でした。

多分 旅人の方でしたら、みな闇両替しますよね!?

Uzbekistan has official exchange rate and black exchange rate.

When I was there, official rate is 1USD(US Dollar)≒1900UZS(Uzbekistani Som).

Black rate is 1USD≒2700UZS

I think most of every backpacker try to exchange of black rate right!?

そのウズベキスタン通貨ですが、最大紙幣が1000UZSなので100USD両替すると札束と化します。

The UZS, 1000 bill is the highest so exchanging 100USD can make  bankrolls.

■Where can I exchange black rate? (闇両替ができるところ)

バザール近辺でできることが多いと思います。
大きいカバンや袋を持ってウロついている両替商やバザール内の店でも両替できます。
ウズベキスタンに行く前に、直近の闇レートを確認しておきましょう。
闇レートも週1回、変動しているそうです。

You can exchange of black rate near bazaar.
I think black exchanger have big bag to bring money, and they hang around bazaar or you can change the shop in baaar.
And, make sure of the black rate when you go to Uzbekistan beforehand.
I heard that movements in the black rate once a week.

レストランで食べると高いです。

It's "Plov" which is one of the traditional dishes in Central Asia, it costs 190KZS(≒4USD)

If you eat it in restaurant it more expensive than local cafeteria.
