I was hunging around the town in Bishkek.

This is "TsUM" that's the biggest department store in Kyrgyzstan.

Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan Part 2, Osh Bazaar

2012年9月にキルギスのビシュケクにいたときのこと。
This post is when I was in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan on September, 2012.

宿の日本人旅人とオシュ・バザールへ行きました。
トローリーバスと徒歩で行きました、直通の行き方もあると思いますがわかりませんでした。

I went to Osh Bazaar with same guesthouse's Japanese traveller.
We got there trolley bus and on foot. Maybe, there is any direct transportation but we don't know.

私は何も買いませんでしたが、バザールは街中で買うより安いと思います。
一緒に行った日本人旅人は"チャリダー"なので、暖かい服を買って冬へ向け備えてました。

I didn't buy anything here but I think most of items cheaper than downtown.
Japanese traveller who go there with me, bought winter clothes to prepare coming winter because of he is cyclist.

Getting Uzbekistan Visa in Bishkek

ビシュケクでウズベキスタンビザの取得法。
この情報は2012年9月のものです。

I'm going to write about how to get Uzbekistan Visa in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.
This information was when I got it on September, 2012.

How to get the Uzbekistan Visa

1.大使館に行く前に事前に電話をして予約をする必要があります。なので、宿の人に電話をして　　　もらいましょう。
2.申請書類をHPで作成しプリントアウトする必要があります。以下のサイトです。↓

3.指定された日の朝10時に行きます。早く行く必要はありません。点呼を取られて、その指定された順で申請をしていきます。
4.申請時に、"5日後に電話を掛けて"等を言われるので、また宿の人に電話を掛けてもらいます。
ビザができていれば、また訪問日を指定されて、その日の朝10時に大使館へ行きます。
指定日に電話をしても、ビザができてない場合もあるそうです。

1. You have to make appointment by phone for the embassy when you go there before. So you should make a request of guesthouse's people.
2. Make a visa application in below site and print out that document.

3. The appointed time to go there at 10 o'clock, you don't have to go there in advance.
The applicant is taken the roll of  the ambassador. Then we apply it by turn.
4. When you apply, "Please call again 5 days later" you are told by them. So you make a request of guesthouse's people again.
That time, If visa is already done, you get the appoint time and go to embassy that day at 10 o'clock.
However, sometimes you can't get it when you calld at designated date.

・パスポート(ビザ受取時に要る。申請時は必要ない。)

・Passport(You can need it when only you can get the visa.)
・US dollars(You need it when get the visa.)

Timetable

2012年9月18日に申請して、26日にビザを取得。
割と早く取得できたと思います、運が悪いと2週間や3週間掛かるとか。
日本人は15USDの支払いでした。
ちなみにウズベキスタンビザは入国日を自分で指定します。

I applied visa on September 18, 2012 then got it on 26th.
I think I got it earlier than usual. If you have bad luck, you have to get it to spend 2weeks to 3weeks, I heard it.
I paid 15USD for Uzbekistan Visa, but it's Japanese price. I don't know that other nationalities price but I think it around 50USD?! I'm not sure exactly.

Getting Kazakhstan Visa in Bishkek

ビシュケクでのカザフスタンビザの取得法について書きます。
この情報は、2012年9月のものです。

Today, I'm going to write about how to get Kazakhstan Visa in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.
This information is when I got it on September. 2012.

How to go to Kazakhstan Embassy from Sakura Guesthouse

サクラ ゲストハウス近くのJibek Jolu通りから西へ向かう11番のトローリーバスに乗ります。
料金は一律で8KGS(≒0.2USD)。
途中Manas通りへと左折します。15分くらい乗っていると再度左折してスーパーマーケットがあるので、そこで下車。
そして、バスで通ってきたManas通りをさらに南下して右手にアク・ケメホテルがあります。
それを過ぎるとカザフスタン大使館はあります。
バスの乗車時間は約30分。その後、徒歩約10分で着きます。

You should take a trolleybus of No.11 for the routes westward from bus stop along the Jibek Jolu street near Sakura guesthouse.
It costs 8KGS(≒0.2USD) which is flat rate.
On the way, bus is turn left to Manas street. After about 15 minutes, bus is turn left again then you can find supermarket that the corner and get off the bus.
Then you should go down to the south on Manas street then you can see "Hotel AK KEME" at the right of the street.
Go past that hotel, you can arrive at Kazakhstan  embassy on the same side of the street.
The time spent in the trolleybus is about 30 minutes and going on foot 10 minutes then you can get it.

日本人に生まれたことに感謝しました。

日本人だと、ビザが不要であったり、ビザが無料で取得できたり、有料の場合でも 他の国籍の人より安い料金で取得できることが多い気がします。

ここでは、なぜ日本人とトルコ人だけが無料なのかは不明です。

I appreciated that I was born as a Japanese.

I think that Japanese don't need visa or we can get it free of charge or If we pay it but it's chaper than other nationalities people when we go to somewhere the country.

By the way, I don't know why Japanese and Turkish can get visa for free.

And, If you not Japanese or Turkish, you have to pay to visa.

2012年の9月10日に申請して、17日に取得。

2,3日でもらえる時もあるそうです。

ビザ申請の受付は午前中のみ、受け取りは18時30分頃でした。

ちなみに大使館の人はあまり英語が話せません。

I applied it on September 10, 2012 then got it on 17th.

If you are lucky, you can get it on 2 or 3 working days.
Visa application time is only in the morning, getting visa is at 18:30.

Incidentally, ambassador can't speak English well.

Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan Part 1

2012年9月にキルギスのビシュケクにいたときのこと。
This post is when I was in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan　on September, 2012.

Getting Into Town from Manas Airport
(From Bishkek's International Airport)

飛行機で夜11時に着いたので、空港泊をして、翌日の朝8時頃に街へ移動。
ちなみに空港では特に問題なく寝ることができました。
また、ATMも空港内にあるので、現地通貨を入手。
少しタクシーの客引きがしつこかったです。

I arrived Bishkek's Airport at around 11 night so I slept in airport, then the next day I moved downtown at 8 o'clock in the morning.
For your information, there's no problem sleeping in the airport.
And, there's ATM in the airport, I got local currency there.
Some taxi drivers were aggressively pursue me for business.

街へはマルシュルートカで移動。
マルシュルートカとは、旧ソ連諸国で見れる乗合ミニバスです。
60KGS(≒1.2USD)

It's a form of  public transportation such as a share taxi, you can see it in ex-Soviet countries.
I paid that fare 60KGS(≒1.2USD)

その横で道路の真ん中なのになぜ車を修理してるかは不明です。

お目当ての宿まで行きたかったのですが、よくわからないところで降りろと言われ降りる。
そこから徒歩で宿を目指しました。
ちなみにキルギスの方に英語は全然通じませんでした。
道案内の看板もキリル文字なので、地図を持っててもあまり意味がありませんでした。
iphoneのロシア語アプリを使って、なんとか宿に着きました。

I wanted to go to looking for accommodation but driver said "This is your stop".
So I went toward my destination from there by foot.
By the way, most of Kyrgyz don't communicate in English.
I have a guidebook but it's written in English so it's useless because direction board is only Cyrillic.
I used iphone's Russian application then I got my goal somehow.

This means "I think I lost my way, please help me~."

It means "Where's here in this map."

宿のオーナーは日本人です。奥さんは現地の方!?

奥さんは英語に日本語、ロシア語にキルギス語が話せるみたいです。

通常、日本人がオーナーの宿は宿泊客も日本人ばかりなのですが、ここは欧米人もけっこういました。

また、中央アジアなので"チャリダー"がたくさん宿泊していました。

つわものな旅人が多かったです。

9年、自転車で世界を旅している人や、84歳のバックパッカー。

ちなみに、2人とも日本人です。

Owner is Japanese. I'm not sure his wife is local people but who can speaks English, Japanese, Russian and Kyrgyz.

Usually, a accommodation's owner is Japanese then most of visitor is Japanese, but here there are a lot or Westerner staying.

And, there're many "Cyclist Backpacker" there, because of its in Central Asia.

In addition, stronger travellers're there. For example, one of the guy travelling for 9 years around the world by bicycle. The other backpacker who are 84 years old.

Incidentaly, they're Japanese.

Getting Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan from Bangkok, Thailand

2012年9月6日にタイのバンコクからキルギスのビシュケクへ移動したときのこと。

When I moved Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan from Bangkok, Thailand on September 6. 2012.

バンコクから中央アジアへ行くと決めたのですが、せっかくだから多くの国に行きたいので、

最初の目的地はキルギスのビシュケクにしました。

バンコクから直行便はないので、カザフスタンのアルマティで乗り換え。

また、カザフスタン入国にはビザが必要です。ビシュケクでは日本人はカザフスタンビザが無料で獲れると聞いたため最初に行くことにしました。

日本人はキルギス入国の際、ビザは不要です。

I decided going to Central Asia from Bangkok, Since its such a rare chance so I wanted to go to many countries, so that's why my first destination of Central Asia is Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.

There is no direct flight Bangkok to Bishkek therefore I needed to take a transfer in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

And, most of nationalities people needs a visa when we go to Kazakhstan and I heard Japanese get Kazakhstan's visa free of cost in Bishkek. So, I visited Kyrgyzstan at first, because Japanese don't need a visa when we enter there.

 航空会社はアスタナ航空を利用。乗客のほとんどがソビエト系の人でした。

I used Air Astana, most of passengers were from ex-Soviet countries.
