Ha Long Bay, Vietnam

Today, I'm going to write about Ha Long Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage Site near  Hanoi.
今日(きょう)は、ハノイの近(ちか)くのユネスコ世界遺産(せかいいさん)"ハロン湾(わん)"について書(か)きます。

I went to Ha Long Bay on April 2th last month via Hanoi.
ハロン湾(わん)には、先月(せんげつ)の4月2日(しがつ ふつか)にハノイからツアーで行(い)きました。

It costs 17 US dollars.
17ドルでした。

It's a little expensive for me.
少(すこ)し高(たか)いですね。

But it takes me to and from my guesthouse, and includes lunch so it is easy.
でも、宿(やど)までミニバスで送(おく)り迎(むか)えをしてくれて、お昼(ひる)ご飯(はん)も付(つ)いてるので、楽(らく)で良(よ)いです。

The tour took almost a day.
ツアーはほぼ1日(いちにち)掛(か)かりました。

I was picked up by them at 8 o'clock in the morning and then went back to the guesthouse at 8 o'clock at night.
朝(あさ)8時(はちじ)にピックアップされて、宿(やど)には夜8時(よる はちじ)に戻(もど)りました。

I was satisfied with the tour.
満足(まんぞく)なツアーでした。

Well, in detail.
では、詳細(しょうさい)

I was picke up by them at 8 in the morning then we left Hanoi for Ha Long Bay.
朝8時(あさ はちじ)にピックアップされてハロン湾(わん)に向(む)かいました。

Most of the tour participants are Westerners, on the other hand, there were very few Asians.
ツアー参加者(さんかしゃ)は欧米人(おうべいじん)ばかりで、アジア人(じん)は少(すく)なかったです。

We arrived at Ha Long Bay at 12 pm.
お昼(ひる)の12時(じゅうに じ)くらいに着(つ)きました。

Then, we took a ship to see the Ha Long Bay.
それから、船(ふね)に乗(の)ってハロン湾(わん)を見学(けんがく)しました。

There are a lot of ships sailing on the sea because of the many tourists there.
観光客(かんこうきゃく)が多(おお)いので、海上(かいじょう)には、たくさんの船(ふね)が出航(しゅっこう)しています。

You can see the visionary scenery there.
そこで、幻想的(げんそうてき)な風景(ふうけい)を見(み)ることができます。

The rocks soar out into the sea.
海面(かいめん)から岩(いわ)がニョキニョキ生(は)えているみたいです。

It's called Guilin of the sea. (In China)
海(うみ)の桂林(けいりん)とも言(い)われています。

Our tour was cheap so lunch was normal.
我々(われわれ)のツアーは料金(りょうきん)が安(やす)いせいか、お昼(ひる)ご飯(はん)は普通(ふつう)でした。

I saw other tour ships, they have a glass of wine in their hands so I envy them.
他(ほか)の船(ふね)を見(み)るとワイングラスを片手(かたて)にしている人(ひと)もいて、羨(うらや)ましかったです。

If you pay a lot of money, you can cruise in luxury.
高(たか)いお金(かね)を出(だ)すと、リッチなクルーズが出来(でき)ますね。

It's a cheap tour though, and I enjoyed it because I could talk to Western participants.
でも、安(やす)いツアーだったけど、このツアーに参加(さんか)してた欧米人(おうべいじん)と話(はな)したりして、楽(たの)しいツアーでした。

In the end, I'm very satisfied with the tour, expensive tours are unsuitable for backpackers.
やっぱり、バックパッカーには、高(たか)いツアーは似合(にあ)わないので、これで十分(じゅうぶん)、満足(まんぞく)です。
